UVNA recommends the following missals for use at the Traditional Latin Mass: 1962 Missals Angelus & Baronius Missals. The following 1962 missals have all the text needed to follow along at a Traditional Latin Mass.

Latin Mass Daily Missals A Catholic’s Daily Missal The Catholic’s Daily Missal is designed to open up the spiritual treasures of the Mass for Catholics from the time of their First Communion up through their early teen years.

The Mass of the Catechumens (On Sundays before the Principal Mass the Asperges is usually sung first) The priest genuflects at the foot of the altar and joins his hands, the faithful kneel down.

The basic Latin Mass has been unchanged for centuries. As the Catholic Church added certain feast days, the more recent hand-Missals reflect these changes. In addition the various Missals are arranged differently according to the desires of the editors (i.e. page layout, style of translation, cost).

Traditional Latin-English Missals The banners above link to the publishers’ web sites ( Angelus Press and Baronius Press ) of the first two complete 2000-page Latin-English daily missals — for the traditional Latin Mass (TLM) according to the current (1962) rubrics — to be published in the 40 years since Vatican II.

These leaflets missals, while quite useful, do not contain the changeable prayers and readings (epistles, gospels, etc.) for the specific day in question of the liturgical year. For that purpose, a larger missal—either a Sunday missal or a daily missal—should be obtained.
